It works fine on windows, and it even turns on briefly while Ubuntu boots, but other than that it does not work on Ubuntu. After the upgrade failed, I have installed a fresh 18.04 and it runs fine with NO hdmi cable. Ubuntu Members and employees of Canonical have emblems next to their names, indicating their affliation. I have also tried to downgrade to the 160219 driver with the same result. This was working before I upgraded to 16.04 two days ago and my system was playing just fine then.
